I've been to the GC in the PA Lancaster suburbs - it was fabulous. This location was mired in mediocracy and will ALWAYS be unless SERIOUS changes are made. While the layout and the mass customers resembled the Lancaster restaurant, that's where the similarities ended. The restaurant was grossly under-staffed. They had two main lines of entry. Only one was watched and manned to seat people, the other just piled up. The one doing the the seating - a full geared COP, weapon and all who was immensely rude when I attempted to get his attention on our side of the restaurant to be seated. He barked at me that "he was not a waiter or host." To the contrary, he was on the mic, seating people (as a host). Perhaps he was frustrated he was playing host to a mass hungry crowd NOT MY PROBLEM.
The food was average to above average, with the steak being very good. It alone covers the fair price. But the lack of staff shows. One server clearing and bringing drinks for 12 to 14 tables plus. It was impossible to keep up which led to extra trash and food on the floors.
The buffet line staff (with few exceptions) had a glazed...."I don't care look and feel." Many of the dishes were over-cooked and dry OR not presented well. Several food and condiment stations were empty. Fully stocked presentable food is not first prirorty and it showed in longer wait times. The managers were bogged down, fielding countless complaints including mine re Robocop. The restaurant is disorganized and under staffed to handle the hungry masses (that feeds in tons of kids from Chuck Cheese next door.) Golden Corral IS great value, but skip this location in favor of one with better resources and more caring staff. -

The food was good like typical golden corrals. They close at 11 and started closing down parts of the dessert area by 10 and our waitress was pretty much non-existent to get our family refills.

I would like Golden Corral Corporate office to know how awful the franchise is being represented by manager/host Carlos (I believe) security officer and table bussers at the 1001 Shoppers Way, Largo Maryland. The attitude of manager/host was inexcusable, I was there for a birthday party. Granted it was jammed packed with after church patrons, Mr. Reyes failed to hide his frustrations yelling at arguing with customers. The security guard served as a menace, accusing people of not paying for their meal. The security guard intimidatingly and threating followed the accused to their table, where they showed their receipt. The staff acted as though they forgot why they were hired. Didn't want to assist, nasty attitudes. I don't recommend this Golden Coral for anyone.

Dont even step in the door at this Golden Coral location (Largo)..The place is totally disorganized. Took 45 minutes to get a hamburger. HOW can you build a burger without the meat. Customer service told me to contact them. I still have not heard a peep back from them 2 weeks later. If you go there for lunch.. you waisted your money!!!!

Stop in for breakfast on my road trip back to NYC. This was my first time coming in for breakfast but it won't be the last.
The breakfast buffet cost about $11.00 & included your drink.
The breakfast covered everything from cold cereal to an omelet station. Also having the dessert and salad station open.
There was a little line for the omelet station, but the line move fast since omelets are cooked four at a time by two chefs. Omelets are made to order with plenty of ingredients to choose from. There was a meat craving station for fresh ham and steaks made to order. As well as the usual breakfast items such as grits, scrambled eggs, waffles, oatmeal, homefries, pancakes, pork bacon & sausage, and turkey sausage. My only wish for fried fish, since I no longer eat meat.
GC also offered cold cereal, yogurt, and different types of breads & pastries.
Everything my family and I ate taste great and fresh. The staff was pleasant and polite. GC was very crowded but the staff kept things clean and running smoothly.
